Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Lauren previously worked for 13 years as a Professional School Counselor. During this profession, she worked with grades K-12. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Development from Southwest Missouri State University. She then graduated from Missouri State University with her Masters in Counseling in 2009. Recently, Lauren has been running Grief Groups for Lost and Found with elementary, middle, high school students and adults.

Lauren is available to work with all ages on various issues, including depression, anxiety, women’s issues, emotional abuse, marriage and family, grief and loss, and self-regulation. Lauren believes that children communicate through the language of play and provides play therapy for children. Lauren is interested in Trauma and its effects. She is currently working on being certified in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention).

She views the family as an emotional unit, striving to provide a holistic approach to increase the likelihood of effective treatment. “My goal for my clients is to empower them to gain knowledge and insight about themselves to work through the healing process and live a wholehearted life.”

Lauren has been married to her husband for eight years, and they have two beautiful children. They enjoy time outside and going on adventures. She enjoys learning, yoga, mindfulness practices, and reading.
