Timothy L Wells

Tim has been practicing Mental Health for over 30 years. He graduated with A Master of Science in Community and Agency Counseling from Pittsburg State University. He is the former Director of Children's Psychiatric Services for Southwest Mental Health, Department of Mental Health for Missouri. His Degree specialized in Family Systems Therapy using the DeShazer model. He owned Counseling Associates with offices in Nevada, MO, and Lamar, MO, since 1997 and recently closed his practice to work with Eaglecrest Counseling Center. He has done Behavioral Modification work with inpatient agencies and was one of the first Crisis Counselors in Southwest Missouri starting in 1996. He has worked with both Developmental Disabilities and Seriously Mentally ill individuals. His specialty is working with trauma, families, and children, as well as Marriage Therapy.
